Had A Profound Impact On Me

This book helped me in ways that I couldn't imagine. As a freelancer and part-time entrepreneur, I am always looking for opportunities to shine, and this book helps in doing exactly that. The author also includes an in-depth analysis of what today's successful entrepreneurs do right and what most of the others do wrong. Real-life stories of people like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs give you valuable insight into the struggles of achieving success. There were many things I didn't know about these great people earlier, which I thought were interesting. Reading this book, you get a clear and concise idea as to how to go about life in order to be successful and rich.

Good review - inspiring

This book has stories and background on several successful business people from history and today. The author chose people who made decisions in their businesses that changed their own lives and also changed how things are done. The success of these people makes life easier for us today with the products and concepts that they have given us. The histories of the spotlight people are concise and short. The impact comes when the author boils down the things we should have learned from each person. That is the inspiring and useful part of this book - the learning we can implement in our lives to reach our own goals. If your resolve is dipping, use this book to inspire you to keep moving and install some of the learnings in your own life.

16 fine examples of success

THE SUCCESS STORY is a conglomeration of 16 examples of highly successful people (and sometimes their companies). The format begins with a quote from the highlighted success story, a few pages of their history and experiences, and concludes with a summary of "Lessons learnt from ___." I found the book's premise and promise to be intriguing and interesting.
The book is published, written by, and copyrighted by "The Marketing Guy" (who has an online blog and significant online presence)... and from the statements including "we," may be a group of people. Given the presence of their blog "that focuses on helping others make money online and understand more about business and marketing", I was most surprised by the frequency of typos, misused words, incorrectly used apostrophes, improper possessives, incorrect homophones (loose vs lose), failure to capitalize surnames, awkward sentences (as if roughly edited and words that should've been deleted remained), inconsistent formatting, spelling surnames one way and then another, and more.
This book desperately needed professional editing and/or a very careful final read-through to correct the abundant problems. I kept tripping over them to the point I became frustrated and lost interest in the content. I realize my inability to ignore abundant typos is *my* problem, and other readers may not see this as an issue. All in all, an informative nonfiction work that delivers on its promise.
